MATT: You guys make one hell of an effort to support other bands and people, be it by touring together, collaborating on artwork, or just spreading the good word. What role does both community and those good ol DIY punk ethics play in the band?

WILLIAM: It's huge for us, we grew up watching Set Your Goals and This Time Next Year tear it up. I always thought it was cool that the bigger SYG got, they kept touring with hardcore bands and helping friends along the way. It's just how we grew up with this community, everyone is always helping each other in the Bay area. It's the best.

MATT: I watched your video from your tour of Japan. It seems like you really experienced everything you could while you were there. What was something that surprised you the most about Japan?

WILLIAM: The culture was incredible. Everyone was very nice, polite, respectful, open, etc. It was the best experience.

MATT: If you guys could have a worst enemy I'd have to say it's snow. Either you're driving through blizzards, being scared shitless, or even getting trapped in it having to eat the sleeves off your tshirts haha….. it really seems to have your number. How are you going to overcome it?

WILLIAM: Kill people, I'm actually in the van in Toledo, Ohio and it's snowing. Haha, I guess since we're from Cali, we get hit with it when we're out on the road. As far as overcoming it, I don't know, have a giant heater underneath the van.

MATT: Branch Street is a pretty rad show spot in Sacramento that you've been known to frequent from time to time. Favourite memory from Branch Street?

WILLIAM: Branch Street rules, I've had some of the best nights there. We played a show with Seahaven there once and it was rad, lots of friends, lots of booze, Good times all around. That night I thought I could sing all the harmonies, I can't.

MATT: I'm fighting the urge to dedicate the rest of the interview to the questions you receive on tumblr. I think my favourite has to be "Who in the band would date an (Insert Ethnic Group)". Any favourites come to mind?

WILLIAM: Haha, that site is funny. I love that Parker gets the attention, but my favorite question is when someone asked me if I was Jewish.

MATT: What happened at The Burnin' Burro in Livermore, CA?

WILLIAM: The venue was rude, they weren't open to having kids play shows. They always had older Harley riding jabronis in there.

MATT: The end of civilization will be caused by:

WILLIAM: Itself. I think the world is killing itself honestly. Hopefully I get to keep doing this before it all ends.
