MORGAN FLETCHALL

A lot of my confidence comes from friends and family. They are incredibly encouraging and have always expressed their pride and faith in my abilities. Whenever my confidence wanes, they are the ones I always turn to. I also draw confidence from helping the industry grow and prosper in any way I can.

Becoming comfortable in front of the camera was definitely a gradually learned thing. I was always very awkward and clumsy growing up so being able to feel confident in front of the camera and in my own skin in general was something I acquired over time and practice. I slowly began to appreciate everything that I once thought was weird or that people would tease me about. Once I shut out all of the negativity that others or myself would throw upon me, it became so much easier. It is all about having a positive mindset and letting the negativity fade away. Life overall is lived so much better that way.

The most memorable thing I have ever shot in was a bright blue jumpsuit with big white stars all over it by Mexican designer Benito Santos. It was such a loud and fun piece that caught everyone's eye. I feel most comfortable in anything that has a great fit and is flattering to my figure.

I really have to block all of the extra attention out. Whenever I'm working in public, I slip into a work-mode and don't really focus on my surroundings, only the shoot. I prefer a closed in studio because there is so much more control and privacy.

When choosing a photographer or collaborative partner, I typically base it on if I feel the association would represent me in a good way. If my face is in a portfolio or the face of a product, I want it to have a positive outcome for me and my career. I also look for a stylistic match when it comes to collaborations.

One of the most challenging aspects of my work but one that I am truly grateful for is: The occasional self doubt. It can really get you down and manipulate your thought process but being able to push through that and carry on confidently has fostered so much inner growth for me.

I am for sure optimistic but I always have a twinge of realism paired along with it. I can see myself becoming successful but I know I am going to have to work for it. I have come along so far in the past year and I have no intentions of stopping now.

The end of civilization will be caused by: Greed. Unfortunately for some, what they have is never enough and they'll go to any lengths to get what they want.
