TOUCHE AMORE: PARTING THE SEA BETWEEN BRIGHTNESS & ME The latest record from LA screamo-outfit Touche Amore is a real accomplishment. It washes over you like a real good personal zine you almost feel guilty for reading. In many ways it's a travel log; the band has been on tour on and off for what seems like forever now; you can't help but tip your hat to their dedication. These are lessons learned wrapped up in chaotic bursts of honesty and aggression. The record looks and sounds fantastic. This is their strongest stuff to date, which is quite the feat to keep the intensity, sincerity and downright motivation to soldier on. This band has been there through thick and thin and they've seemingly turned all their experiences, both good and bad into something not only productive, but creative as well. It all contributes to the tapestry that is Touche Amore. These are their stories, these are their lives put down on wax. They should be mighty proud of this record. Here's to the journey.
