BUILDING ON FIRE: KALE DEMO
Kale: Freedom of the Dead Here's a little fireball of destruction served up from mysterious new kids on the block KALE. Truth be told I don't know much of anything about the band except that they have roots in Prince Edward Island and Halifax, Nova Scotia and are currently residing in Montreal, Quebec. At least two members were in the Halifax band Sharp Like Knives (as well as more bands than I can probably count). Though KALE may be new to the scene you can tell that the driving forces before the band are wiley old vets. Don't sleep. This blistering demo has teeth. X X X X |

Feeling down in the dumps in his second year of university Matt Dixon took things into his own hands and started to interview bands, put on little shows throughout his native Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and started this little webzine that could. He likes to listen to rad records and watch films at Charlottetown's only art-house theatre, the beloved City Cinema.
